Finding an untapped market in an industry dominated by men.   Marissa has shaken up the typical hum drum business of safety wear by introducing Betsy, the Pink Work Boot.  For women who work side by side with their male counterparts, pink has become a statement of secure co-existance on the factory floor, work-site or boardroom.  The challenge is not the expected blue collar mentality which by the way is a societal misrepresentation of the hard working laborer.  The reality is that the steel toed pink work boot has provoked discussion and thought into the office towers of retail giants and the supply market companies in Canada.  Marissa will discuss the philosophies of building her business around her consumer and her struggle to keep it simple, do it different and do it right.
