Local businesses introduced to HireLocal.ca at Mayors’ Breakfast
Business owners who attended the recent Breakfast with the Mayors, presented by the Halton Industry Education Council (HIEC), were introduced to a new local recruiting website. HireLocal.ca was designed help businesses access free employment services and connect them with qualified job candidates in their community.

The Centre for Skills Development & Training recognized Burlington Mayor Cam Jackson as a Fellow of The Centre at the fifth annual “Celebrating Success” event, held last night at the Holiday Inn Select Oakville at Bronte Hotel.

Internationally trained professionals benefit from The Centre's language programs
New Canadians often struggle to find rewarding work in their field after they arrive in Canada. At an event held at The Centre for Skills Development & Training on October 23, graduates of The Centre’s Enhanced Language Training (ELT) for Internationally Educated Professionals and Business People program shared stories about their hardships and successes.
